Gone Fishing 2012

We're less than forty eight hours away from the start of the 2013 season, but before we get started I'd like to recap some off season activities that were captured over the past summer. 

Now I was going to post our end of the season awards at the finish of 2012’s regular season, but I decided it would have more weight if I posted it at the beginning of the 2013 season (when the page’s most active). A good reminder of why it's important to make the playoffs...(sorry Ryan).

 “Cripple Crawford Curse”

This unfortunate award goes the team that suffered the most setbacks. In 2012, no one’s team capitulated more than “The Bane.” There were some injuries, some non shows, but most of it was being simply…cursed. 

“The Dempsey Snooze”

This award belongs to the GM who played languorously throughout the season 2012’s award goes to “Limited Edition.” Missing draft due to work deflects some of this vitriol, but the rest of the season was pretty much played by the computer, too (regardless of making the playoffs, you weren't around much).  

“The Reeced Award”

EVERYONE. Do you know how many videos were made last year? Zero.

“Sick as Cali Award”

"Go for Gold,” "The Dream killers"...take your pick. There’s always that guy who joined the league but didn't really do much besides fill a spot. “Ghostface Vilma” won unanimously in 2012. I’d say more, but ironically his team name pretty much says it all. Hopefully, this is the last year we ever have this award…

In conclusion to that ceremony I would just like to say, “Good luck” this year boys or should I say, “bad luck” (if you want to keep away from winning these awards…)
